The pool construction New Jersey step includes
finalizing the design, securing the building permit, and making sure the site
has been properly prepared. After permitting, excavation begins and experienced
craftsmen go to work. Your pool will be laid out and any fences, trees or stubs
in the way must be hauled away. If you have yard sprinklers, they must be
turned off and re-routed as necessary. This means making plumbing provisions
that need to go through the concrete and included all the pool returns, pool
suctions, solar provisions, spa, blower lines, water features and electrical
lines.
After the excavation, the steel fixers come
in to do the steel fixing. Their job, essentially, is to create a criss-cross
steel cage around the whole interior surface of the pool, for the concrete to
be sprayed to. The steel fixers mark out steps and benches at this stage. The
initial plumbing must be installed. This includes running the pipes for the
filters, the main drains and any passive solar systems. If you’ve opted for an
in-floor cleaning system, the plumbing for this will be installed at this time
as well. Next, the steel reinforcing frameworks in installed. Steel designs are
approved by a certified engineer before this step begins. This is also the time
to take care of the electrical bonding or grounding of the shell and equipment.
The next step is the application of the
concrete. Also known as gunite, the concrete is pneumatically applied by a
trained professional. It’s exciting to watch as your new pool starts to take
shape. This is also when they will build your steps in the shallow end, any
loveseats or benches, and any other custom features. When the concrete shell is
completed, we will level the ground around the pools, remove the wood forms and
remove any sod from the areas where the deck will be installed.
On the day of the pebbling, the pebblers will
get to the site any time. The pebble is sprayed onto the concrete and then
smoothed out with a trowel. The Pebble or Glass Interior acts as a bladder
inside your pool to further prevent leaks. The pebblers will then come back the
next morning to acid wash the pebble and begin filling the pool. It is
important that you do not turn the hose off until it is touching the coping or
you will get a tide mark on the pebble. Once the pool is full, we will arrange
to have the pool started up. This includes cleaning the pool and filtration
equipment, starting up the pump, filter and chlorinator, and chemically
balancing the pool.
service professionals will schedule a time to
meet with you at your new pool. At that time, they will explain all of the
operations and functions of the pool and answer any questions you might have.
After that, the only thing left is for you to start swimming and enjoy your new
Pool!
